Getting Started with Rumi - Learn Persian

Welcome to your Persian language learning journey! This guide will help you make the most of the Rumi - Learn Persian app and set you up for success.

📱 Step 1: Download & Install

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Search for “Rumi Learn Persian”
  3. Tap Get to download
  4. Open the app once installed

Android

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Search for “Rumi Learn Persian”
  3. Tap Install
  4. Open the app once installed

🎯 Step 2: Create Your Account

  1. Open the app and tap “Get Started”
  2. Choose a sign-up method:
    • Email and password
    • Google account
    • Apple account (iOS only)
  3. Set your profile:
    • Choose a username
    • Add a profile picture (optional)
    • Select your native language

The Perso-Arabic Script

Persian uses a modified version of the Arabic alphabet with 32 letters:

  • Written from right to left
  • Letters change form depending on position (beginning, middle, end, or standalone)
  • Some sounds don’t exist in English
  • No capital letters
